All praises are due to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and choicest blessings be on Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam, the final messenger who came with the final revelation - the Quran, a light and a guidance for all mankind.

 

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Aalihi Wa Sallam said:

"Acquiring knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim"

 

A Mukallaf must enter and practice Islam. A person is Mukallaf (accountable), if he/she:

 

· Is Pubescent (Baa’ligh)

· Is Sane (Aa’qil)

· Has heard the creedal statement (Daa’wa) of Islam

 

Once he/she knows and believes in "La Ilaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah", he/she must seek knowledge. Know (may Allah guide us) that Worship and Obedience, by definition, is the application of acquired religious knowledge, hence, knowledge of the religion is a mandatory prerequisite for a correct and sound worship.
